Greetings. Every day I receive nearly a hundred emails and texts from constituents who want to know when Modesto will be open for business. This shelter-in-place order has us all in a state of uncertainty as we look to our health experts for guidance on when it will be safe to re-open. I am concerned about our local economy, our businesses and the livelihood of our citizens. We are working on a plan structured and phased that strikes a balance ensuring your safety, and re-opens businesses as quickly as possible. A healthy local economy depends on your support, and I look forward to seeing our vibrant City come to life once again. Please do your part to slow the spread of COVID-19 and I will see you – in person – soon.
