Memorial Day is celebrated the last Monday in May will be observed this year on the 28th. It is a day to remember and honor all those who died serving in the American armed forces. Here is where you can join others in remembering family and friends who have died in the line of duty.
8 am VFW Wreath Laying 7th Street Bridge,
9 am 7th St Bridge throw flowers in memory of all military men and women lost at sea.
American Legion Modesto Post 74 Honor Guard and Rifle Team will do the honors.
11 am, Acacia Cemetery Ceremony with American Legion Honor Guard And Rifle Team
will do Military Honors.
1 pm, Lakewood Cemetery Ceremony with Army Band and Choir singing songs, the Army Honor Guard and Rifle Team will do the Honors. General Frank Emanuel will be in attendance. Wes Page will be Master of Ceremonies. Steve Baptista, Bataan Death March survivor will be on hand.
The American Legion Post 74 will be in charge of putting out crosses, grave flags and large avenue of American flags
