MJC International Club offers evening of “Brazil’s Carnival”

MJC
(Modesto, CA) – The International Club of Modesto Junior College will hold its annual International Dinner on Saturday, April 11 at 6 p.m. in the social hall of Emanuel Lutheran Church, located at the corner of College and Stoddard Avenues in Modesto.

This year’s theme is “Brazil’s Carnaval” and the international students promise to transport guests from Modesto to the exotic world of Brazil.  The evening’s menu will represent Brazil as well as dishes from around the world.  The program will include entertainment that focuses on the cultures of MJC’s international students.

“The dinner promises to be an exciting and colorful event for members of the campus and Modesto communities,” said Barbara St. Urbain, MJC’s international student counselor and club advisor.

Tickets are $15 general admission and $10 for students, and can be purchased through club members or the Center for International and Undocumented Students located inside the Student Center on East Campus.  Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold at the door.  For more information contact St. Urbain at (209) 575-6012.
