Our local farmers markets are an absolute treasure and will help you stay fit and healthy by eating fresh and tasty produce grown right here in the Central Valley. This handy list of local certified farmer’s market locations will help you find your groove and stay on track with your health goals. Remember to take your reusable bags, and ride your bike to the market when you can.
Modesto- Yes of course, fruits and veggies, but here you can also find fresh eggs from MJC, purple potatoes and exotic mushrooms, bacon-on-a-stick from Green’s Market booth, fresh pita chips at the hummus booth, and even soaps, jellies and crafts. Music fans can boogie to tunes sponsored by ModestoView.
Between H & I Streets on 15th St near the library. Thurs & Sats 7am-1pm
Kaiser Medical Center, Modesto
Perfect location for people who want to take out two birds with one stone: Grab your week’s produce at the same time as your doctor’s appointment, or picking up a prescription.
4601 Dale Road, Thurs 8am-2pm (year-round)
Turlock- This is their first season on Saturdays! Aside from the usual fruits & veggies, they are known for their cupcakes, shaved ice, and beef jerky. You can also find soaps, crafts, honey & lavender here.
Center & Main St. Sats, 8am-1pm
Oakdale- A night option for our busy schedules, and this year brings a twist! Local produce on one side, car show on the other! Bring your blanket, buy your dinner for your picnic basket, and let the kiddos play while you listen to live music. The third Wednesday of the month will also include wine tasting for those 21 and over.
North 3rd Avenue & Bianchi Plaza, Weds 5pm-8pm
Riverbank – The City of Action offers another evening adventure option for those seeking cooler temperatures or who have to work during the day. Known for apricots, fresh herbs and community booths.
