The Surgical Artistry Modesto Marathon returns this year and is projecting a high turnout for their globally attended event. This event will feature a Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K runs for runners of all levels. This highly popular event is fully certified as a Boston Marathon qualifier and draws elite athletes from all over the world hoping to qualify for the Boston Marathon. The Modesto Marathon was founded by the ShadowChase Running Club to serve the local community by promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle to at-risk youth. Through the Teens Run Modesto program, they experience the benefits of goal-setting, character development, adult mentoring and improved physical fitness through a structured training program culminating in the running and completion of the Modesto Marathon.
