Modesto Unplugged – Patty Castilla Davie – April 16

Modesto Unplugged continues our 2016 Festival this Saturday with an intimate evening featuring one of our area’s most gifted artists, Patty Castillo Davis. Patty has been making music most of her life, as a performing singer-songwriter, as a contributor to film & TV soundtracks, and as a senior cantor for St. Joseph’s Church. She has shared the stage with the likes of Dwight Yoakam, Jimmy Vaughn, the Ronstadt Generations trio (Linda Ronstadt’s brother & two nephews) and more; and has even sung for the Pope.

Patty’s thoughtful, definitive country-rock songwriting has given this award winner credibility and acceptance by the Los Angeles and Nashville music publishing communities. The powerful Bluesy swagger in her song delivery make her vocals truthful and off-trend. Amazing guitarist and recording artist Joe Baretta will add his gunslinging perfection and soulful vocals to her set.

Opening the evening will be Lisa Ballew, an emerging pop artist who recently relocated to the Modesto area after years spent as a songwriter in Nashville. Lisa will be sharing a couple of songs from her recently released EP, in a special acoustic set featuring Sam Regalado of Boscoe’s Brood on guitar.
