ModestoMarathonView – Calling all runners!

The Modesto Marathon is back!

If you are hoping to go to the Boston or New York Marathon, the Modesto Marathon is rated one of the top 50 ways to make the cut. The Modesto Marathon is quickly becoming one of the Go-To marathons with a fast flat course, great views of the mountains, excellent support and pace teams and a good early start that brings in top finishers around 9:30 am.

March 27 brings the Modesto Marathon where thousands of elite runners will join those doing their first Marathon on a fast flat course thought Modesto and the surrounding countryside. There is a pre race expo on the 26th at the CrossPoint Pavilion, and then it is all action on Sunday morning. ModestoView will be there to show you the action as it happens, but better yet, come out and cheer these athletes as they run against each other and the clock.

You can beat the system and preregister and then come to the Marathon Expo on Saturday and pick up all of your race packs and avoid the pre-race jitters. There is a full, half, 10k and 5k race for all abilities. Get ready to run fast, have fun and make the Modesto Marathon your stepping stone to the Boston and or New York Marathon. You can even be a virtual runner and compete!

After the race, cool down and enjoy the Finish Line Festival for those 21 and over there will be Firestone Walker beer and Barefoot wine. There will be a Kids Zone at Crosspoint Church with bounce houses, a rock wall, superheroes all making a great day for the youngsters. There will also be a food truck alley with taco trucks, bbq, kettle corn and fresh juice.

Avoid last-minute congestion. Pick up your race packet at the Fitness Expo Saturday from 10 am until 5 pm at CrossPoint Family Pavillion. While you are there, grab up some new running gear from one of nearly 50 vendors and exhibitors, or sign-up for another race.
