ModestoView News Letter

Greetings Friends!

I know I sound like a broken record, but there is so much to do here in our great community of Modesto USA! Seriously.  When I run into someone who says they are bored, I quickly show them the ModestoView Event calendar.  Game changer.  This weekend is no exception.

Something really cool is happening and the intersection of 10th and J, it’s really jumpin’.  From the new restaurants, Music in the Plaza, DoMo First Fridays, Car Shows, plays and concerts, and of course exciting  new murals, this is really a good place to hang out. This is our zone, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and J and I.  There seems to always be something going on and we love it.  Here is the link to this amazing calendar www.modestoview.com

This weekend, the Sierra Pacific and the ModestoView crews will be walking in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk on Saturday morning. As you know, I fell victim to Atrial Flutter last year and thanks to great medical care, I am going strong again, but with a lot more attention on my heart and health.   We have a team and it would be super cool if you could support us in any way. That would be awesome.  Here is the link http://www2.heart.org/goto/chrismurphy to make a contribution.  It does a lot of good.

Thank you all so much for being a part of the positive Modesto culture.
Chris Murphy

Autumn is approaching and so are new theatrical seasons! It is my hope that you attended a live performance during the summer: a concert, a play, a dance, a poetry slam or a talent show. Keep attending productions and spread the word through social media about the show. Help them grow their audience. I believe in you dear reader!

I am thrilled about attending this year’s MSO Picnic at the Pops-Queen! Love the location, the community support and, most of all, the opportunity to dance! I invite you to dance with me! Then to top off the evening fireworks! Yahoo! Read More

My friend Marie Maxfield is as devoted to her art as any musician I’ve ever met. She can play most every instrument in the orchestra. She plays with symphonies all over the county and in the Bay Area. She played onstage the day after bringing a bundle of joy into the world. Read More
