ModestoView is proud to serve on the Board of the Gallo Center of the Arts and I will tell you that they team there is always scouring the USA for great show opportunities. The team as delivered two new shows and have added some new excitement to the Gallo Center’s 2015-2016 season!
DANA CARVEY first appeared at the Center in 2009, and then again in 2013, in both cases delighting capacity audiences with his uproarious comedy. How great that he is returning! A repertory member of “Saturday Night Live” for seven seasons, Carvey is best known for his characters the Church Lady; Hans, of the Hans and Franz body building duo; and Garth, Wayne Campbell’s ‘Excellent Co-Host’ on the immensely popular sketch ‘Wayne’s World.’ He also is renowned for his impersonations of Ex-President George H. W. Bush, H. Ross Perot, Jerry Brown and Bob Dole, not to mention George Burns, Johnny Carson, Jimmy Stewart, John McLaughlin, Mickey Rooney and Regis Philbin.

Singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, actress, and author/poet JEWEL will make her Center debut as she embarks on her national “Picking Up the Pieces” tour. The much honored artist, who has sold more than 27 million albums worldwide, is touring in support of what she describes as her first “proper” album of new studio material in five years and a self-described return to the territory explored on her landmark 1995 debut, “Pieces of You.” Over the course of the album, also titled “Picking Up the Pieces,” Jewel conveys the emotional turmoil of life during its most difficult and challenging moments.
