Today, the fabulous ladies of the Northern California Women’s Music Festival presented a $500 check to the Haven Women’s Center, from proceeds raised from the Women’s Musical Festival at Prospect Theater earlier this year.
The NCWMF is changing Modesto and surrounding areas for the better! They are bringing awareness to/raising much needed funds for great non-profits serving women. They are branching out into more evens and shows, that you can attend for as little as $10. In 2015, you can look out for shows in April (Sexual Assault Awareness Month) and October (Domestic Violence Awareness Month) and other events throughout the year.
NCWMF’s Lori Richardson and Victoria Boyington look at the calendar “Walk a mile in her shoes” on sale now at the Haven Women’s Center for $20 each. This awesome calendar is the perfect match to the major annual fundraising event Haven put on every year, the “Put Themselves in her Shoes”, where teams of men walk a mile in high heels to raise awareness and funds for this great cause.
