Besides all of the haunted activity this month, there are some really cool live performances on the stages of our community. We start off this month this something really unique and special.

The Prospect Theatre is presenting the Radio Cavalcade. These are “live” radio broadcasts, with actors, live music, sound effects and all of the traditional makings of the golden age of radio. This month, enjoy performances of “Ghost Story”, where a wealthy matron holds a seance-themed party in jest, but the evening takes a turn when she gets an unexpected guest who won’t leave. Also performed is “Sorry, Wrong Number”, originally tour with actress Agnes Moorehead. An invalid woman battles the frustrations of the telephone system after she overhears a plot to murder someone and no one will believe her. Oct 26 at 7 pm

This is a really timely presentation that everyone should see. This stage adaptation is true to the novel in which Orwell depicts with great power the horrors of man’s fate in a society where Big Brother is always watching—where everything that is not prohibited is compulsory. We should be very afraid right now.
