It’s always great to start the holiday season with a martini. The band Pink Martini that is, as they bring their holiday show to the Gallo Center on December 3. The Holiday vibes are big this month and we have a hall-of-fame holiday list of great events and seasonal fun. On top of all this, we have new local music, poetry slams, great rock shows and Rockin’ Holiday fun. Grab your family and friends and get your plans all mapped out before the year is over.
The Gallo Center is all holiday all month long and don’t miss a thing. The holiday spirit is good and you there are many feel-good shows from Irish Christmas, to the Nutcracker to Dave Koz. Modesto Symphony Holiday Pops
Make your holiday season pop! This season, acclaimed actress and concert soloist Nikki Renée Daniels joins the MSO and the MSO Chorus. Nikki is currently starring as Lady Larken in the Broadway revival of Once Upon a Mattress, and will dazzle us all as the Modesto Symphony performs your holiday favorites!

At the Prospect Theatre
The cool indie theatre on K Street just keeps getting better all the time. The main theatre has become a home for local music and cool and mostly locally written and produced shows. The Artist Lab is a great experimental venue.
Local music showcase with Friday Night Grooves with the Vibes and Friends, this month featuring Big Earl & the Crying Shame. This is full tilt big blues you won’t want to miss. Opening the night will be the classic rock grooves of The Vibes.

I bought the new blue vinyl record Heavy Weather Sailor by Chris Doud and it is just amazing. Each album gets better and you can just feel the talent. When he is not performing in the Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit, you can enjoy his solo projects. Don’t miss a chance to enjoy hearing this new album in full at the Artist Lab at the Prospect Theatre. Every winter, Michael J. O’Connor, the second richest man in the world, vacates his 5th Avenue mansion for his winter home in warmer climes. Every winter, Aloysius T. McKeever, a homeless man, and his dog move into vacated mansions.
