Are you ready to celebrate equality and have a lot of fun doing it?
MoPRIDE’s Pride in the Park celebration is just around the corner. The family friendly community event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community will be happening Saturday, September 22, 2018 at John Thurman Field in Modesto 1 pm to 8 pm. $5 admission, kids 12 and younger are free.
This year’s event will be packed full of great entertainment such as;
Indie Daze – A teen band that rocks
Terrie Londee & the B-4 Dawn Band – A funk band that plays the top 40 to get people up and dancing
Midna Y Su Dinamita – Cumbia Band
The Music of Prince – A local tribute band of the legendary Prince
Flock of Seagirls Band – An all female 80’s tribute band
Along with all this entertainment we will be featuring several of our local drag queens, Black Rose – Belly Dancer and local singer songwriter Melynda Rodriguez. There will many local community resources and shopping from our local vendors. The goal of MoPride, Inc. and the Central Valley Pride Center is to bring people together to celebrate the achievements of the LGBTQ+ movement, to remember our history, and to raise awareness of the work that still needs to be done. www.mopride.org
