Rockin Holidays Rockin the Plaza!
Once again we are bringing back a month of Rockabilly-Blues, Psychobilly music to the 10th street plaza. Yes friends, we celebrate the music that is native to Modesto. So many genres, including rock and roll, all point back to the music of Maddox Brothers and Rose that began here in Modesto in 1938. We bring this roots music to our annual holiday festival in 10th St Plaza and this year it is more rockin’ than ever. There will be live music in 10th St Plaza each Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Dec 2 through Dec 23. Don’t forget your FREE Rockin Santa pictures

Kicking it off after the parade of lights December 2nd, with a collaboration of musicians that are no stranger to old fashion and new music altogether. Tangled T’s Music Group will be performing after the parade in the plaza. Starting about 7:30 to 10 pm. You can also, catch Tangled T’s Music Group on Thursday, Dec 7th and 21st from 6-9pm til Xmas.

Join the Lodge Pole “Jedi” Pickers our very own Intergalactic Rock and Roll band on Thursday, Dec 14th for the Star Wars-The Last Jedi Premiere. Bring the kids as there will be Stormtroopers, Jedis and more characters from a galaxy far, far away and of course some great rockin’ fun.

Also, playing our musical X-mas in the plaza is Voodoo Killers giving you the raw Swamp Blues. Voodoo Killer will be playing the Plaza on Friday nights from 6-9pm on Dec. 8th, 15th and 22nd.

Last, but no stranger and not least is the MAMA Winning Grease Hound showing off their psychobilly style. Grease Hound has played this event many times and you don’t want to miss this high-energy band. Grease Hound will be performing on Dec 9th,16th & 23rd ending our Rockin Holidays right before X-Mas and will get Rockin Santa and his elves dancing along with the 50ft tall Rockin Holiday tree.

Rockin Santa and his Elves will also be in the plaza for free pictures on 10th street. From 6-9 every Thursday, Friday & Saturday.

Let it snow, Let it snow, yes it will snow. “Rockin’ Snow” will also be falling every 15 minutes during Rockin’ Holiday Nights. Don’t be naughty tell your friends and family to join us throughout the month of December.

We at ModestoView are so excited to spend the Holiday Season with you and yours in the 10th Street Plaza for Rockin’ Holidays.

Cheers, may your holiday be filled with lots of love and laughter and rockabilly!
