Rockin’ Holiday Is Here!
By Chris Murphy
Back in 2012, we created a Rockin’ Christmas event at Hero’s, with local Rockabilly bands and a newly created Rockin’ North Pole. I even brought my first snow machine. It was a Rockin’ good night and we knew it had to be bigger. So with my friends from Collins Electric and the Sierra Pacific crew, we teamed up with the City of Modesto to transform our 10th Street Plaza into the Rockin’ North Pole, with a classic Graffiti USA twist. Nine years later, thousands of kids have met Rockin’ Santa, played in Rockin’ Snow and enjoy the Rockin’ Tree shows and live music. It is still free for all to enjoy and it is an honor for the ModestoView crew to do this for the people of Modesto USA.
A few of you got a sneak peak of Rockin’ Santa at the DoMo Shop days in our new Rockin’ North Pole. Don’t miss opening night on December 7 right after the Disco-themed Celebration of Lights Parade. Come join us, the Modesto City Council and Stanislaus County Supervisors for the Rockin’ tree-lighting party. Experience it the Rockin’ Snow and the fun with your friends and family. There are photo ops everywhere and bring your camera to get pictures with Rockin’ Santa in his hot-rod Rockin’ Sleigh. The Rockin’ Tree performs a light show nightly from 6-10 pm.
There is a great line up this year so check it out, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. December 7, 12, 12, 14, 19, 20, 21 from 6-9 pm.
