From Chris Murphy
We had a wonderful Rockin’ Holiday Wonderland this season and we thank all that came to visit and enjoy. It is such a privilege to be able to bring some winter magic to Modesto for people to enjoy for the last 10 years. It was a great Rockin’ Snow season, our Rockin’ Music line up was wonderful. The Rockin’ Tree did light shows every night, and Rockin’ Santa heard the Christmas wishes from thousands of kids, each receiving a large candy cane, and people were able to stroll under a glittery and snowy 10th Street. Many holiday and Christmas memories were made and photos taken. All if this was available for free, thank you to our team and our amazing sponsors.
First, my Sierra Pacific Warehouse Group team did a fantastic job of bring Rockin’ Holiday to life and supporting this event. Thanks Nick, Johnny, Johnny Jr and JD Harbin. Our friends at Collins Electric brought our wonderland lights and Rockin’ Tree to life for all to enjoy and were a key sponsor. Thanks Matt, Kevin and Brian. Rockin’ Holiday would not be possible without the Brenden Theatre team for allowing our home base of operations and their beautiful neon marquee. Thanks Saul. Thank you to T-Cups Café for providing the space for Rockin’ North Pole. We thank the City of Modesto and the JPA of 10th St Place for allowing us to transform this space each holiday season. Thanks Middagh Goodwin and MAMA for booking the bands and handling the many permits and permissions. Thanks Ray Ray Sheen, Dave Bracer and Jules Lobo for making everything sound good and for being our Disco DJs. Special thanks to Beard Land for being our lead sponsor. We appreciate you Dillon. Visit Modesto, Downtown Improvement District (DID) and Downtown Partnership (DOMO) were wonderful sponsors that helped us make magic. Thanks to our supporting sponsors, Sammy D & T realtors, Doug Highiet & Ceres Pipe and Metal, Gary Nelson Law, KA Country 103, Kathy and Dave from Modesto On Ice, Fuzio Bistro & Marie Rodin’s Farmer’s Market for being so wonderful.
We appreciate the support of the 10th St Plaza businesses as we do this to support our downtown, bring people to the plaza and make wonderful memories. Thanks to my family for knowing that this is an important thing to do each year and love that our kids and grandkids love it. We have made many wonderful memories of our own and hope you all did too. Can’t want to do it all again next year.
Thank you all that visited and shared your photos at #rockinholiday Let me know if you have ideas for us to make this a better experience. Happy New Year, Chris Murphy chrism@modestoview.com<mailto:chrism@modestoview.com>
