Spurs
By Patty Castillo Davis
In Rodeo, spurs are a tool, dull and proven, with rowels used for prompting persuasion to confront being uncomfortable and encourage moving forward. We can spur our local music community on by putting our support behind venues that propel diverse music choices. The Barkin Dog Grill, Congregation Beth Shalom, Moon and Sixpence and Ralston’s Goat are leading the way by introducing artistic selections that are both unorthodox and bridging genre and generations. The urgent call for more business owners to make the move and offer spaces to house entertainment is paramount to the survival and promotion of culture. Salons, studios, bodegas and boutiques are all suitable for hosting Singer Songwriter rooted talent- non-obtrusive volume, marginal use of space and clever for generating Interest and business. If you are interested in taking your space to a new cultural plane and investing in our locale- it’s a rewarding involvement and we are here to help you. Let’s do this!
