Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation Presents the 8th Annual Egg Hunt at Modesto Reservoir
Modesto, CA – Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation and the Board of Supervisors present the 8th Annual Egg Hunt taking place at Modesto Reservoir on March 23, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Egg Hunt will feature four huge egg hunts and an array of other free games and activities.
There will be four Egg Hunts to cater to different age groups, with a total of over 12,000 eggs. The hunts are scheduled as follows:
Toddler and Special Needs Egg Hunt for ages 1-2 starts at 11:00 a.m., Kiddie Egg Hunt for ages 3-5 starts at 11:30 a.m., Junior
Egg Hunt for ages 6-8 at 12:00 p.m., and finally the Big Kid Egg Hunt for ages 9-11 starts at 12:30 p.m. Each hunt will have special eggs containing tickets hidden throughout giving kids a chance to win a bike or a basket filled with prizes.
The Parks Bunny himself will be available for photo opportunities starting at 10:30 a.m. Other attractions include crafts, face painting, train rides, obstacle courses, and many more activities. The first 200 children to check in at the event will receive a free goodie bag of treats. Food vendors will also be present, serving a variety of foods.
“The Egg Hunt is a great family-friendly outdoor activity where you can experience nature together, especially with the beautiful scenery Modesto Reservoir has to offer in our community,” said Tera Chumley, Director, of Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation. Modesto Reservoir is located at 18143 Reservoir Rd., Waterford, CA 95386. Admission to the Modesto Reservoir is $15 for Stanislaus County residents/$20 nonresident per vehicle. To preserve the reservoir’s water, no dogs or gasoline containers are allowed.
The County Supervisors are the primary sponsors of the Egg Hunt, which includes Buck Condit, District 1; Vito Chiesa, District 2; Terry Withrow, District 3; Mani Grewal, District 4; Chance Condit, District 5.
