I was born and raised in Modesto, and have always felt a great connection with the town. I lived in New York City for many years, and I have now lived in Los Angeles for many more. But, I have never forgotten my roots. Throughout the years, my family and I have spent a great deal of time in Modesto, enjoying the restaurants, shopping and the theater productions. And of course, enjoying family and friends. As a Casting Director for television, I was able to fulfill my lifelong dream of being in the entertainment industry.
My wife, Kim, a professional actress, and I have both been huge advocates for the arts. We’ve always been so impressed with the talent in Modesto, and have made it a point, even when we lived in New York, to attend productions in the Central Valley. I’ve produced many shows in Modesto, but I thought how wonderful it would be to feature some of Modesto’s most spectacular talents and incorporate professional actors as well. What better place to do a concert than the beautiful Gallo Center for the Arts. The state-of-the-art facility is amazing—I wish it had been around when I was young; I would have died to perform in it as a youth.
So, join us one night only for an unforgettable performance as Hollywood comes to the San Joaquin Valley! This thrilling show is an evening of music and comedy starring Blake Jenner, Melissa Benoist and Alex Newell of “Glee”. Blake is the Teen Choice Award winner for Breakout TV Star of 2013 – and Melissa, soon appearing in two feature films (one opposite Al Pacino and one opposite Miles Teller), will be joined by Lindsay Pearce, past winner of Modesto’s prestigious talent competition Valley’s Got Talent as well as the other Valley’s Got Talent winners for the past three years. How cool it will be to see television stars perform alongside some of the best of the Valley? Plus, there will be other SURPRISE guests!
The format for the show will not be in the traditional concert vein, but more in the style of a variety show. There will be lots of singing, dancing, a standup comedian, video vignettes with many Hollywood stars giving Modesto a big shout out. It’s going to be a super fun evening full of extraordinary talent.
