On July 30th Styx invades our Gallo Center.
Styx has been very busy lately according to the bands headquarters. In fact the demand is extremely high to attend one of their shows and they’ve actually been performing even more live shows lately since my renegade days in the 1980’s. As a DJ, it’s no surprise to me when I see Styx on the request list or for that matter from one of the students at a high school dance. I’m thinking one of the reasons I get so many of the band’s songs requested by our current high school generation is for one, they are an awesome band and for another I’m sure they’ve been growing up in the car with their parents blasting any one of the bands songs as they are seated in the backseat heading to school.
Some of my personal favorite Styx songs would be, Come Sail Away, Babe, To Much Time on My Hands, and Lady. Just recently before The Gallo Center announced the band would be staging there I was up in my studio continuing my relationship with good music and spinning their Paradise and Cornerstone LP’s on vinyl.
