TeenTober activities take place at libraries countywide during October
Stanislaus County Libraries are celebrating TeenTober all month long, with special activities just for ages 12 to 18. A TeenTober reading challenge takes place Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. Teens can enter an anime bookmark design contest through Nov. 2, and an anime trivia contest will be offered at all libraries. Trivia contest participants will be entered into a free prize drawing.
To complete the TeenTober reading challenge, teens will read for 10 hours to earn virtual tickets for anime-inspired prize drawings. In addition, teens are encouraged to read something outside their normal reading habits. This might include new authors, new perspectives, or reading about different kinds of characters that are unfamiliar to the reader. To get started on the reading challenge, download the free Beanstack app or visit www.stanislauslibrary.org/tk_teen.shtm<www.stanislauslibrary.org/tk_teen.shtm>for details.
Teens are encouraged to follow the Stanislaus County Library on Instagram and Facebook for more ways to celebrate TeenTober.
