Thank You Stanislaus Arts Council!

ModestoView was honored to receive an award from the Stanislaus Arts Council for supporting the Arts in our community. From the day we created ModestoView back in 1997, our goal has been to be a positive force in Modesto to make sure we are telling our stories, celebrating our legends and finding the things that make living and working here great. I am so very grateful to our ViewCrew that scour our community for the good things, create events, make the art and music and do the volunteering that make our city great.

Thanks Pete Grimaldi, Middagh Goodwin and MJ Mangano for their amazing work and creativity.

ModestoView is a labor of love for the community and I am so glad that people enjoy it. So let’s keep going and make sure that we collaborate and lift each other up and be the amazing creative city we can be.

Chris Murphy is the President and CEO of Sierra Pacific Warehouse Group and Publisher and Founder of ModestoView Inc. Chris worked globally in the cycling industry returning to Modesto in 1996. He is also the founder of the Modesto Historic Graffiti Cruise Route, Legends of the Cruise Walk of Fame, Modesto Rockin’ Holiday, the Modesto Music History Organization and co-founder of the Modesto Area Music Association. Chris is married to his artist wife Rebecca since 1985 and has two daughters Madison and Abigail, both graduating from Modesto High and UC Berkeley. He is lead singer and guitarist for his band, Third Party that donates their performances to non-profits.
