The Mistlin Gallery
Tuesday, October 13
The Central California Art Association at the Mistlin Gallery presents Memorial Medical Center’s Complementary Therapy Art Exhibit; “Survivor” which runs October 13 through November 13, 2015.
The Art Group is designed to teach participants to unlock their emotions and ideas and bring clarity and definition to life experiences by expressing themselves through art. The classes are open to cancer survivors and their caregivers.
Complementary therapies are those that can be used along with conventional medicine therapies that have been proven to be safe and effective. While complementary therapies are not used to cure disease, many of them have been shown to help relieve patients’ symptoms and improve the quality of their lives by minimizing the side effects of conventional treatments or by providing psychological and physical benefits. Galen Martin is the instructor and show curator.
