WARREN HUART’S BIRTHDAY AT SUNSET SOUND STUDIOS IN LOS ANGELES, CA

Noted producer-engineer and YouTube auteur Warren Huart (Ace Frehley, Aerosmith, The Fray), celebrated his birthday at Sunset Sound Studios with an array of legendary producers, engineers and musicians. Many things made this a special evening but one in particular was that all three studios were open to guests to walk around and inside the mixing rooms and music from artists that recorded and mixed at Sunset Sound was played through Genelec speakers including Purple Rain being played in Studio 3.
In addition to Warren Huart’s birthday, Sunset Sound’s legacy was celebrated, a rare opportunity to see the inside of the studios. A live band with Alex Burke played throughout the night of artists recorded at Sunset Sound.
Notable attendees included legendary studio bassists Jerry Jemmott (Aretha Franklin, B.B. King) and Brandino (Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige), CJ Vanston (Spinal Tap, Joe Cocker), Scott Shriner (Weezer), Tony Franklin (Kenny Wayne Shepherd, the Firm), Paul Ill (Christina Aguilera, (Alicia Keys), Tanya O’Callaghan (Maynard James Keenan), Erik Eldenius (Billy Idol), Pete Thorn (Chris Cornell, Melissa Etheridge) and top producers and engineers Cameron Webb (Motorhead, Weezer), Ross Hogarth (Van Halen, Motley Crue), Brian Lucey (Black Keys, Counting Crows) and Tommy Vicari (Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Prince).
