Getting healthy is a priority for all ages. Modesto’s Parks, Recreation, & Neighborhoods, and the Tzu Chi Foundation have collaborated to present their Annual Health Fair on July 16<file://localhost/x-apple-data-detectors/::7>th<file://localhost/x-apple-data-detectors/::7> at the city’s Maddux Youth Center. The area’s favorite summertime poetry slam, THE CHILL LIST is back by popular demand. The poetry slam, which is similar to the ILL LIST, has its own summertime finesse that definitely brings the heat to the stage. Watch, as some of the world’s best slam poetry teams compete to be number one and win the prize at this free speech event. Tickets: $20-25. Community makes us whole and summertime is an opportunity to spend time with our neighbors! The College Area Neighborhood Alliance’s Sundays in Graceada hosts community events every Sunday in the park. On July 28<file://localhost/x-apple-data-detectors/::14>th<file://localhost/x-apple-data-detectors/::14>, SiG brings Pilates in the Parked hosted by Studio V and an Open Swim in the afternoon. From 9-10 a.m.<file://localhost/x-apple-data-detectors/::15> an all levels donation-based Pilates class will be open to the community.
